Jaguar Dies in captivity

The Last and only Jaguar dies in captivity on January 26 of this year. The Jaguar named Macho B was intentionally and illegally snared by employees of the Arizona Game and Fish Department last February. The employees said that it was accidental but was proved intentional. After the accident Macho B was in good health and was released fully equipped with a radio transmitter collar. A few days later he wasn't moving. They brought him to the Phoenix Zoo
where he was diagnosed with irreversible kidney failure and was later euthanized. This ended the long history of the United States wild Jaguar population.
